The recent movie release of Wonder Woman reminded me of the child hood days when I wore Wonder Woman pajamas and believed that I could be like her.
Fortitude, resilience, intellect, leadership, the ability to empower women and fighting for what’s right is what I wanted to do and the person I wanted to be.
Her arsenal of weapons included the Lasso of Truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, and a tiara that served as a projectile.
This movie has helped me to reflect on the similarities of what Wonder Woman represents and what the Regional Compliance Managers (RCM’s) of CIFAC embody.
We are a dedicated group of five women, passionate about what is right and fighting for increased jobs for our members. Our arsenal of weapons are not magical in nature. We fight to ensure governments are held accountable and stay transparent. We fight for a level playing field within the industry. Our indestructible bracelets represent the 40 years that CIFAC has been in existence, working for you, through tough economies. Our projectile weapon comes from speaking out and voicing industry concerns, communicating with agencies when they are in violation and pursuing legislation that benefits our industry.
A strong focus on women in the construction trades is trending and we are proud to serve the industry and participate in that movement. ... See more
